Cord Concealment · Los Angeles

In-Wall Cord Concealment in Los Angeles. No more dangling cables.

We route power and HDMI cables inside your wall for a clean, built-in look — like the TV just floats there. Starting at $99, depending on wall type, run length, and complexity. Most jobs take 30 minutes to 2 hours.

Three methods

Three ways to hide your cables.

Not every wall is the same. We pick the right method based on your wall type, your existing outlets, and what's actually behind the drywall. Here are the three approaches we use most often.

Method 1 · The most common

Pass-through method

We cut a small opening behind the TV and another one near your existing outlet at the bottom of the wall. Power, HDMI, and any other cables run inside the wall cavity between the two openings.

Clean result — nothing visible on the wall surface, just the TV. This is the right call for most drywall installs.

Method 2 · The cleanest

In-wall outlet behind the TV

If you already have an existing outlet below where the TV will go, we can extend it — turning one outlet into two, with the new one placed directly behind the TV.

Result: the TV plugs straight into the wall behind it. No long power cables running down inside the wall, no extension kits. The cleanest, most code-friendly option when the layout allows it.

Method 3 · The budget option

White plastic cord concealer

A surface-mounted plastic raceway that runs along the wall, painted or wrapped to blend with the wall color. The cables go inside the raceway, not inside the wall.

Best for situations where in-wall isn't possible — brick or concrete walls where running cables inside isn't practical — or when you want a faster, less invasive option that still looks much cleaner than dangling cords.

Wall types we work with

Drywall, plaster, stucco — and beyond.

LA homes are a mix of everything from 1920s plaster bungalows to new stucco builds and brick lofts. We handle all of it. Here's what to expect.

Drywall
The standard in most modern LA homes and apartments. Fastest, easiest in-wall cord runs.
Easy
Plaster
Common in pre-1960s LA homes (Hancock Park, Pasadena, Echo Park). Takes a bit more care but no problem.
Easy
Stucco
Exterior walls and some interior accent walls — common in LA. We have the tools for it.
Easy
Brick
Sometimes possible if there's a cavity behind the brick. Otherwise we use surface concealment.
Case by case
Concrete
Drilling through concrete is possible but complex. We take these on by request when the project calls for it.
By request

Good questions

Cord concealment, answered.

It depends on your wall type, your existing outlet location, and what's behind the drywall. Send us a photo of the wall and the area below where the TV will go — we'll tell you which method makes the most sense and quote it for you.

Yes — when done right. We know what's typically inside LA walls (studs, electrical, sometimes plumbing) and use the appropriate tools to find them before cutting. We also know how to route power cables safely depending on the method we use. If a wall has unusual hazards behind it, we'll let you know before we start.

Sometimes. Brick can work if there's a cavity behind it. Concrete is more involved and we take those by request — it's possible but complex. For both, the white plastic cord concealer is usually the cleaner, faster solution if in-wall isn't practical.

If your lease allows small wall modifications, in-wall concealment leaves only two small drywall holes that can be patched easily when you move out. When we come back to take the TV down (see our TV dismounting service), we can patch the holes for you — basic drywall patching, no painting, which is usually all you need to get your security deposit back. If your lease is strict about modifications, the surface-mounted cord concealer (Method 3) is the renter-friendly option — no drilling holes in the wall surface, just a clean raceway you can take with you.

Yes — we usually do both in one visit, which is the most efficient way. See our TV mounting service and soundbar mounting for details. Just mention what you need when you text us and we'll bundle everything into one flat quote.

Anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the wall type, the length of the cable run, and the method we're using. Straightforward drywall pass-through is fast. Stucco or plaster takes a bit longer. We'll give you an accurate time estimate with the flat quote.
