Our standard $99 LED install covers the full setup — basic smart LED kit, surface prep, installation around your TV, power connection, and app pairing. Premium LED upgrades are priced separately.
Our $99 install comes with a quality basic smart LED strip — app-controlled, color-changing, ready to go. Want to upgrade to Govee, Philips Hue, or ambient-sync? Just ask, we'll price it separately.
LED strips need a clean, dust-free surface to stick properly. We wipe down the back of the TV with alcohol so the adhesive holds long-term and doesn't peel.
We measure, cut to length, and apply the strip evenly around the perimeter — corners aligned, no gaps, no sagging strips. The light spreads evenly behind the TV for that smooth bias-lighting glow.
Connection to USB on the TV (if your TV's USB supports 1 amp) or to a wall outlet. If you need the power cable hidden in the wall, we can handle that too — see our cord concealment service.
We pair the LED to its app on your phone, walk you through the color picker and scenes, and help connect it to Alexa or Google Home if you use them. You leave knowing how to control it.
There's a huge range in LED quality — from $20 Amazon strips to $300+ Philips Hue setups. We install all of them. Here's the spectrum so you know what you're choosing between.
Affordable LED strips with a remote control and fixed color presets. Solid colors, basic effects, no app needed. Good for someone who just wants ambient color behind the TV without smart home integration.
App-controlled smart LEDs with millions of colors, custom scenes, schedules, and voice control through Alexa or Google Home. Govee is the most common choice — great quality at a reasonable price.
The premium tier. Best color accuracy, longest reliability, deep ecosystem integration (works with everything). Higher upfront cost, but the difference in light quality and consistency is real if you care about that.
The advanced version — LEDs that sync with what's on screen in real time. The blue water in a movie becomes blue light behind the TV. Cinematic, immersive, ideal for gaming and home theater. Costs more because they require a sync box or camera.
That's the bread-and-butter — bias lighting behind the TV (which is what most clients want) and accent lighting under floating consoles for a clean modern look.
But we're flexible. If you want LEDs under kitchen cabinets, around a ceiling perimeter, behind a headboard, around mirrors, or in a custom location, just tell us what you have in mind. Custom LED installs are priced based on the length, complexity, and access. Send us photos and we'll quote it.
We carry a basic smart LED kit on every install, so even if you didn't buy anything ahead of time, we can get you up and running in the same visit. That's the kit included in the $99 starting price.
If you already bought your own LED — Govee, Philips Hue, ambient sync, whatever it is — bring it and we'll install it. We're familiar with all the major brands.
And if you want something nicer than our basic kit but don't want to do the shopping, just tell us what you're after (smart, premium, sync-capable) and we'll order the right thing for your setup. We'll quote the LED cost separately so you see exactly what you're paying for.
How the LED gets power depends on the type. Here's how it usually plays out.
Basic and most budget LEDs (Amazon-style) can plug into the TV's USB port — if your TV's USB supports 1 amp. Turns on and off with the TV. Cleanest cable situation.
Premium smart LEDs (Govee, Philips Hue) need their own wall outlet because they draw more power. We connect to the nearest outlet behind your TV or media console.
Don't want the LED power cable visible? We can run it inside the wall using our cord concealment service. Cleanest look, no cables anywhere.
Includes our basic smart LED kit, surface prep, install around your TV, power connection, and app pairing. No — we always have a basic smart LED kit with us, included in the $99 starting price. If you want something fancier (Govee, Philips Hue, ambient sync), you can either bring your own or we can order it for you. Tell us what you want and we'll handle the rest.
No. LED strips use mild adhesive designed for electronics — they stick to the back of your TV without leaving residue and pull off cleanly if you ever want to remove them. We clean the surface first so the adhesive holds long-term.
Basic LEDs ($20–50) give you color and brightness — that's it. Premium LEDs (Philips Hue, $200+) give you better color accuracy, more reliable adhesive, longer lifespan, deeper smart home integration, and ambient sync that matches what's on your screen. If you just want mood lighting, basic is fine. If you want a true cinematic experience, premium is worth it.
Yes — that's called ambient sync, and it's the top-tier setup. The LEDs read the colors on screen in real time and match them, so a blue ocean scene makes blue light behind your TV. Philips Hue Sync and Govee Immersion are the two main options. They require extra hardware (a sync box or screen-reading camera) so they cost more, but the effect is incredible for gaming and movies.
Anywhere from 20 to 60 minutes depending on the LED type and how much custom routing the power needs. Basic install behind a single TV is closer to 20 minutes. A premium setup with cord concealment or a custom configuration can run up to an hour.
Yes — and that's the most efficient way to do it. We can mount the TV, install a soundbar, hide the cables (see our cord concealment service), and add LED backlighting all in one visit. Just mention everything you need when you text us and we'll bundle it into one flat quote.
