Take down your TV, patch the wall, and help you get your security deposit back — starting at $88. We also dismount mirrors, artwork, shelves, curtain rods, blinds, and anything else hanging on your walls. Same visit, one flat quote.
Most landlords hold deposits for unrepaired wall damage. The good news: you don't need to repaint to get your deposit back. You just need the holes properly patched so the wall looks clean and undamaged.
That's exactly what we do. We dismount your TV (and anything else on the walls), then patch the lag-bolt holes with proper drywall compound — basic patching, no painting, the way most landlords accept. We're not lawyers and every lease is different, but for the vast majority of renters this is enough to skip the deposit hold.
If you do want a light paint touch-up too, we can do that for an additional charge — but we can't guarantee a perfect color match with your existing wall paint, so most clients just go with the patch and skip painting.
If it's hanging on your wall, we can take it down. Most clients call us for the TV and then add a few extra items when they realize they're moving out and need everything off the walls in one visit.
The main job. Includes taking the bracket off the wall, or leaving it if you prefer.
Standard wall mirrors, large statement mirrors, bathroom mirrors. Carefully removed without breaking.
Framed art, canvases, posters, any wall-hung pieces. We're careful with valuable items.
Standard rods, double rods, ceiling-mounted tracks. Blinds we'll dismount but you'll need to pack them.
Single floating shelves or full shelving units mounted to the wall.
Floating media consoles, vanities, or any furniture mounted directly to the wall.
Coat hooks, plant brackets, decorative hardware. Small but they leave holes too.
If it's on the wall, just text us a photo. We've probably taken it down before.
Either timing works. Here's how to think about it.
Most clients book us a day or two before moving day. We dismount the TV and other items so the movers don't have to handle the delicate dismounting work — and so they can't accidentally damage your TV while taking it off the wall. You hand off a clean wall and electronics that are ready for the movers to pack.
If you've already moved and just need the walls patched before the landlord inspection, no problem. Many clients leave us the keys — we come in when nobody's home, do the work, lock up, and text you when we're done.
To keep things clear from the start, here's what we don't handle as part of a dismounting service. Most are about boundaries with the moving company, not about the work being hard.
Pack your TV for transport. If we pack it and the movers break it, they'll blame our packing. To protect you, we leave packing to the moving company so the responsibility chain stays clean. We strongly recommend asking your movers to unpack your electronics on arrival and confirm everything powers on before they leave.
Haul away trash. Old mounts, packaging, broken brackets — we leave those for you to discard or for the building to handle.
Disassemble built-in furniture or cabinetry. Standard wall items we take down. But built-in shelving, built-in cabinets, or any custom installations we'll quote separately if at all.
Transport your TV to a new address. We don't currently offer a TV transport service, though we may add it. For now, your movers handle the move and we handle the dismounting at one address, mounting at the other.
Includes taking down one TV and patching the small lag-bolt holes (under one inch). Multiple TVs cost a bit more but not double. Larger holes (over one inch — from cord concealment cuts, for example) are quoted based on size and wall type. Additional items (mirrors, artwork, curtain rods, shelves) are added based on what you have. Send us a list and we'll text back a flat quote.
Hundreds of installs across LA and a perfect rating earned one job at a time. We do it right or we don't get paid.
Already moved out? Leave us the keys. We come in, do the work, lock up, and text you when it's done. Trusted by hundreds of LA renters.
Moving day creeps up fast. Text us and we'll usually find a slot within a few days, often sooner.
No. A huge portion of our dismounting jobs are leave-the-keys situations — the client has already moved out, leaves us access, and we handle everything. Trusted by hundreds of LA renters. We text you when we're done and confirm the wall looks good.
For the vast majority of leases, yes — proper drywall patching is what landlords look for, and they don't require painting in most cases. We're not lawyers and we can't read your specific lease, but we patch to a standard that's accepted in nearly every situation we've seen. If you want extra peace of mind, add a light paint touch-up.
Bigger holes (over one inch) are quoted separately based on size and wall type — they need a different patching approach than small lag-bolt holes. Common with cord-concealment cuts, recessed-box installations, or larger mounts. Send us photos and we'll text back the price. See our cord concealment service for context.
We can do a light touch-up if you want, for an additional charge. But honestly — we can't guarantee the new paint will perfectly match your existing wall, since wall paint fades over time and the exact shade is rarely a precise match. Most clients skip the painting and just go with the patch, which is enough for the deposit return.
Absolutely — that's a popular combo. Book a dismount at your old address and a TV mounting at your new address, and we'll handle both. Just note that we don't transport the TV itself between addresses — your movers handle that part.
Yes. Same starting price — $88 for the standard four lag-bolt holes. Larger holes priced separately. Text us photos of the wall and we'll quote it.
Text us a list of what you need taken down (TV, mirrors, art, curtains, shelves, etc.), your address, when you're moving, and whether you'll be home or leaving us the keys. We'll reply with a flat quote — usually within minutes.
